SMS to Email Configuration

Follow the steps to convert inbound SMS to email.

1. Allow inbound SMS

From main menu, access System Settings.

  1. Under “SMS” tab, check “Allow Inbound SMS”.
  2. Click Save to save the setting.

2. Set inbound filter

From main menu, access Message Processing > Inbound Filters.

  1. Select “Inbound Message Type”: SMS.
  2. Click to edit the pre-defined rule named “SMS to email”.
  3. Check the pre-defined action named  “Mail route”.
  4. Click Update to save the setting.

3. Set action

From main menu, access Message Processing > Transmission Actions.

  1. Select pre-defined action “Mail route”.
  2. Set Delivery Method to “SMTP”.
  3. Select the mail server to send email.
    See step 4 to configure mail server.
  4. Check the contact group to receive email.
    See step 5 to assign contact group members.
  5. Click Update to save the setting.

4. Set mail server

From main menu, access Outbound Profiles > SMTP.

  1. Key in the information to connect to your mail server.
  2. Click Update to save the setting.

5. Set email recipients

From main menu, access Client Tools > Manage Contacts.

  1. Select a contact and click the group icon.
  2. Check the group name to assign the contact to the group.
  3. Click OK to save the setting.

6. Restart service

From main menu, access Control Panel.

  1. Stop and start the service.
