Licensed Users

Licensed users can logon to Varius Message Router’s web interface. Follow the steps below to manage licensed users.

1. Manage licensed users

Navigate to System Administration > Licensed Users.

  1. The page shows the list of licensed users.
  2. Add user
    Click “Add User” to add a new user and fill in the details. Click “Insert” to save the information.
  3. Edit user
    Edit user details by clicking the “edit” icon beside the login name. Click “Update” to save the information.
  4. Delete user
    Click the “delete” icon beside a user’s login name to delete a user.

Note: Restart the VMR service for any changes done.

2. User details

  • Login Name: User ID to logon to Varius Message Router’s web interface.
  • Display Name: Name of user to be displayed.
  • Email: Email address of user.
  • Role:
    • Admin: Administrator role with ability to configure Varius Message Router.
    • Normal: Normal user role with ability to send messages and view received messages.
  • Password: The password to logon to Varius Message Router’s web interface.
  • Change Password: Click this button to specify a new password for the user.
  • Receive SMS in POP3: If enabled, a POP3 mailbox will be created in Varius Message Router to store received SMS message for the user.
  • Contact Access: Enable this option to allow the user to access the contacts page.
  • SMS Access: Enable this option to allow the user to send SMS messages.
  • SMTP Access: Enable this option to allow the user to send SMTP messages.
  • SNMP Access: Enable this option to allow the user to send SNMP messages.
  • Syslog Access: Enable this option to allow the user to send Syslog messages.
